Welcome to the 2006 IBA National Meet - August 17-19, 2006!
The purpose of the IBA National Meet is to facilitate the cohesion of the Long Distance riding community by serving as a source of information, experience and equipment for the LD Rider and to provide an arena in which to renew old friendships and make new ones. This event is code-named "Denver 2006", and as the name suggests, it will be held in Denver, Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains and near some of the most spactacular riding to be found anywhere on earth!
Event Dates: "Denver 2006" will be held on the weekend of Aug 17-19, 2006.
Seating is limited, and last year's inaugural IBA National Meet sold out quickly. Act fast if you desire to attend this IBA National Meet event! The attendance fee is $225.00 ($195.00 if you attended the inaugural IBA National Meet in Omaha last year!) and
includes all of the following:
- Day Ride to Mt Evans & Pikes Peak hosted by Michael Kneebone and 1999 IBR Winner George Barnes
- Skert's World Famous Bike Pick up Demo
- BBQ dinner Thursday, August 17th - Award Winning Brothers BBQ
- Buffet Lunch - Friday and Saturday
- Banquet Dinner - Friday, August 18th
- Access to all Seminars
- Farewell Banquet, Saturday evening, Aug 19
- Event T-Shirt
- Name Tag (For first time attendees only; $10 each for duplicate tags)
We of course encourage all to ride their bikes to this event (since that's what we're all about!), but relatively inexpensive airfare to Denver is certainly another option and you won't get more than the usual grief for arriving on four wheels.
The Thursday, Aug 17 day ride with Kneebone and Barnes will be leaving from SPANK headquarters in Colorado Springs at 9:30 AM. George Zelenz has procured a block of rooms for Wednesday evening; check back soon for specific information!
