The IBA has teamed up with the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America for a special
SaddleSore 1000, the ride will finish at the MOA's
International Rally, which is being held from July 24-27, 2014 in St Paul, Minnesota.
Riders can start anytime between 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 19th and 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24th from any location over 1,000 miles from St Paul.
During registration, you will be asked to enter the basic cities your route will use or you can choose one of this start locations (press city name for route map)

1) Hillsboro, Texas - awarded 1,020 miles (either via I-35 or US-69/I-44)
2) Jackson, Mississippi - awarded 1,010 miles
3) Chattanooga, Tennessee - awarded 1,010 miles
4) Asheville, North Carolina - awarded 1,060 miles
5) Hagerstown, Maryland - awarded 1,042 miles
6) Rochester, New York - awarded 1,013 miles
7) Kingston, Ontario via USA - awarded 1,087 miles
8) Toronto, Ontario via Canada - awarded 1,070 miles
9) Ottawa, Ontario via Canada - awarded 1,070 miles
10) Tucumcari, New Mexico - awarded 1,056 miles
11) Glenwood Springs, Colorado - awarded 1,073 miles
12) Rock Springs, Wyoming - awarded 1,067 miles
13) Butte, Montana - awarded 1,067 miles
14) Shelby,Montana - awarded 1,037 miles
15) Medicine Hat, Alberta - awarded 1,014 miles
FOR THOSE WHO LIVE CLOSE TO ST PAUL or those that have another city in mind, you may suggest other routes, but they must be submitted via Google Maps link for approval before the ride. For some tips on how to use Google Maps, visit Google Maps which unfortunately is going through some upgrades so instructions on link creation is changing as Google rolls out the new system.
These cities were chosen as start points in an effort to simplify the documentation requirements for riders. You have 24 hours to complete the 1,000+ mile to St Paul to be considered a finisher.
Midwest Madness 1000
There will also be a Saddlesore that starts right from the MOA Rally fairgrounds that you may start anytime between between 12:01 a.m. Saturday, July 19th (for those that arrive early due to volunteer duties during the week) and 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24th . This one is a three state SaddleSore 1000 that will take you to International Falls, Minnesota - often times the coldest place in the USA but fortunately not in July - the Headwaters of the Mississippi River, Grand Forks, North Dakota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The route is a great mix of back roads and some relaxing Interstates. You will be credited with 1,080 miles for this difficult ride aply named Midwest Madness 1000.
Finishers of either the ride in or Midwest Madness 1000 will receive a distinctive IBA MOA 1000 certification, SaddleSore 1000 ride pin, special 2014 IBA/MOA ride sticker and IBA World's Toughest Plate back along with memebership in the IBA. And in what we hope will be the first of many such events, an IBA-MOA Pizza Party Awards Ceremony for Ride-In and Midwest Madness 1000 finishers will be held at the Rally too! The fee is $60.14 and includes the price of the party.
The IBA 1000 Ride In is not limited just to BMW riders – all marques are welcome! However, you must also be registered to attend the BMW MOA rally - visit 2014 BMW MOA Rally - to partcipate in the SaddleSore 1000.

Registration is $60 please remember, you must also be registered to attend the BMW MOA rally!
IMPORTANT: Due to financial commitments, the refund deadline for the Ride In and Midwest Madness 1000 is July 1, 2014. After that, you may elect to do the ride up to one year (August 1, 2015) and mail your ride documents in (riders do take advantage of this option all the time).
