Bob Higdon Having ridden 1.1 million miles on BMW motorcycles since 1972, Bob also rode around the world in 80 days (2004) and has visited every county in the continental U.S. (2004-2009). His other accomplishments are just as noteworthy. He won the BMW MOA mileage contest three times, most recently in 2009, rode 100K in one year (2007-2008), and was the former record holder of the IBA's 48 State challenge (1987).

Ardys Kellerman Ardys is the epitome of grace on and off the motorcycle and is also one of the sport's most enthusiastic ambassadors. She has competed in four Iron Butt Rallies (1993, 1997, 1999, and 2001), ridden countless SaddleSore rides, and successfully finished many other long distance challenges like the Four Corners Tour and the 50CC. In 2006, she won the BMW MOA's mileage contest by riding 80,131 miles and in 2007, rode over 100,000 miles.
Jim Owen Jim's first documented IBA ride was a NYC to SFO 50CC Gold (2001). Since then he has ridden in the Buckeye 1000, the Butt Lite III, the Feast in the East, the Tobacco Road Rally, Fearless 1000, Mason-Dixon 20-20, Utah 1088, Palmetto Ramble, Minnesota 1000, SPANK and Cape Fear 1000. The Tobacco Road Rally in 2002 was his first victory. Jim has also participated in four IBRs (2003, 2005, 2007, and 2009) finishing second in 2007 and capturing first in 2009.
Shane Smith Winner of the 2005 Iron Butt Rally as well as a Top 10 finisher in three other IBRs (7th in 1997, 9th in 1999, and 2nd in 2001), Shane has also participated in a number of other long distance challenges like the Three Flags Classic Ride and continues to help the IBA and its members, most recently by opening his home to riders as a bonus stop on the 2009 IBR.
Marty Leir As the first three-time winner of the Minnesota 1000 Rally (2002, 2005, 2008), Marty's list of accomplishments include finishing the Great Lakes Gold challenge in 43 hours, 7 minutes (2002) as well as successfully completing back to back BunBurner Golds (2003). He has also ridden in three IBRs finishing in the Top 10 on two occasions (2003, 2005) and in 2007 he emerged the winner.
Ross and Jean Copas As one of the sport’s elder statesmen, Ross competed in four Iron Butt Rallies (1985, 1986, 1987, 1999), winning the prestigious event in 1986. He has also participated in and won the Utah 1088, the Nevada 1100 on two occasions, and Bite the Bullet Rally. His beautiful wife is also an accomplished long distance rider in her own right as well as the first Canadian woman to finish the IBR, earning a Bronze Medal in 1999.
