Background:
This
ride celebrates Independence Day, the Fourth of July, the day the United States
declared independence in 1776.
How do we celebrate the Fourth? With American flags, balloons,
hot dogs and fireworks.
We
will issue a unique certificate for this ride.
Read the rules

the iconic SaddleSore 1000
on the Ironbutt
Association site. The rules for this ride are similar and you
will get valuable background information.

Definitions
DBR - Dated Business Receipt
A DBR is a machine generated receipt with the date, time and LOCATION
on it. Check it - do not assume it is correct. A receipt
with an incorrect time/date/location is worthless. Check and
re-check.
Fees: $40 - this is a special certificate only program
Rules
Photos are required for this certificate. Each photo must include
your motorcycle. Get a DBR in the same city of each photo.
Photo possibilities:
--your
motorcycle with more than one balloon in the background (yes, you can
hang two balloons from your handlebars, but what kind of challenge is
that!)
--your motorcycle with a large American flag in the background (we're
talking about a BIG flag, not some little hand-held flag. There
is a lot of latitude here.)
--your motorcycle with fireworks in the backgound
--a selfie of you eating a hot dog with your motorcycle in the
background
*****Each photo must be at lest 150 miles from the previous photo****
Independence
Day rides have many different levels of difficulty.
Independence
Day 1000 - Provide 2 of the required photos - 24 hours
Independence Day 1000 SILVER - Provide all 4 required photos - 24 hours
Independence Day 1000 Gold - Provide all 4 required photos AND a DBR from any city named 'Indpendence' or 'Independence' as part of their name, for example, Independence or West Independence or Mount Independence (etc) would all be acceptable.
Independence Day1500 - Provide all 4 required photos - 36 hours
Independence Day BBG - Provide all 4 required photos - 24 hours
THE
RIDE
For
2024, your ride must start and finish any time on Fourth of July
Weekend, Thursday 12:01 AM July 4 - Sunday11:59 PM July 7.
You
may start and end your ride anywhere you choose.
Each
photo must be at least 150 miles apart.
You may take any route you like.
Your official time is determined by the starting
and ending receipts. PLEASE check these documents and make sure
the clock and date are correct!
Spotwalla.com
is strongly recommended but not
required.
Remember it is YOUR responsibility to prove you visited
all required stops in the required order. Spotwalla goes a
long
way towards this proof.
Merchandise:
There is no additional merchandise for this ride.
