Mile Eater Program

Gold Transformation

Version 1.0   September 2026

Effective immediately, the IBA converts regular Mile Eater ride credits to Gold credits for members who complete designated series under each series’ published sequential rules.

Under the Mile Eater Program, higher statuses (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and above) require a mix of standard certified rides and Gold, Insanity, or 48-hour-plus rides. Riders who complete one of the series below, in the order and time window required on that series’ page, will have the standard credits from those series rides upgraded to Gold credits.

Qualifying series

How it works

  1. Series rules govern. Complete every ride in one qualifying series in the sequence and time span that series requires (for example, 12 consecutive calendar months for 12 Ides Gold; all eleven official federal holidays inside one 12-month span for the Federal Holiday Gold Transformation; all six Armed Services Birthday rides inside one 12-month span).
  2. Automatic upgrade. When the last qualifying ride in that series is certified, the regular credits from those series rides become Gold credits on your Mile Eater tally.
  3. What it is for. The Gold credits count toward the Gold / Insanity / 48-hour-plus minimums at the higher Mile Eater levels. You do not have to rely only on stand-alone Gold, Insanity, or 48-hour-plus rides.

This honors the planning and endurance it takes to finish a date-specific series in sequence. Those rides now carry more weight in the Mile Eater program.

To review your certifications and Mile Eater progress, sign in at the IBA eStore, choose your name in the upper-right corner, then My Rides.

If a completed qualifying series does not show Gold credits after the final ride is certified, write the Premier certification team so the tally can be updated. Nested miles remain nested; only the Gold flag on eligible series rides changes.
